I was wondering if anyone knows of a cell phone that is accessible, has accessible text messaging, and has cheap text messaging to locations outside the U.S? I will be moving back to the U.S. soon, but I will have some family still back in Egypt, so I will need to send a lot of text messages. This particular family member is hearing-impaired, so they cannot call or receive calls and rely on text messages only. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks! Safiyah
Oh there's plent of accessibl phones out there.
OK, maybe not plenty, but there are a few.
Most of them will cost a lot unfortunately so you'll want to have some money.
Nokia have a few phones that will work with speach software and I thing motorola does, and LG has a somewhat accessible phone, though I don't know if it can do text messaging.
As for international texting, I have no idea on how much it would be or anything like that.
I have never sent a text message to anyone outside the UK, but will need to do so soon, because Nan and Grandad are moving to Sipress on Wednesday and will probably be getting a Sipriet sim card for Nan's mobile phone untl they get a lndline.
